Our Profile

YHTP is celebrating its 22nd year of service. Founded in 1993 by former First Lady of Tennessee Andrea Conte, You Have the Power works to raise awareness about crime and justice issues. Started as a grass-roots movement, the organization began by bringing those together who touched the lives of crime victims to address what could be done to address crime and its consequences. All agreed that the right information can help prevent a person from being a victim of crime and can help set a victim on a path to healing.
